SheerScape Retaining Wall Systems

The SheerScape Retaining Wall System uses patented hybrid technology that combines advanced engineered geo-grid solutions with the inherent strength and performance of sheet piling. This innovative new system will replace conventional thoughts about how MSE retaining walls should be constructed. The SheerScape system addresses the shortcomings of outdated building materials such as wood, concrete and stone while providing higher performance, more strength and faster installation. SheerScape uses ShoreGuard's patented FlatPanel sheet piling which not only offers strength and performance, but also allows for a positive, mechanical connection between the grid and the wall. This connection offers increased safety and more reliable long-term performance when compared to the standard friction based connections that almost all other MSE walls depend upon. SheerScape may also qualify for green building points in programs such as NAHB or LEED as it is a 100% recyclable system.
The FlatPanel sheets are made from ~90% recycled materials and can be used in commercial, industrial and residential applications. The use of sheet piling in retaining wall designs offers many benefits over outdated systems such as block or concrete walls. Most impressive is the speed at which SheerScape can be installed. SheerScape is comprised of three components allowing walls to be installed considerably faster than comparable solutions. Additionally, SheerScape can be used as a flood wall, drainage canal wall and in areas with poor soil conditions. The FlatPanel sheet piling provides superior protection against possible scour in walls exposed to water. And, sheet piling can easily give walls the necessary toe penetration to account for poor soils without requiring massive excavation for complex concrete foundations.
