FlatPanel Sheet Piling

Since inventing vinyl sheet piling 25 years ago, Crane Materials International has invested millions of dollars into research and development in order to provide the construction and engineering communities with innovative and sustainable products. The result of this investment has been numerous patented features and products related to sheet piling such as the I-Beam Lock, 24" box profile, and PileClaw Installation Equipment.

One of the most significant new patented developments since the inception of vinyl sheet piling is FP-475 and FP-575. The FlatPanel is an attractive alternative to traditional corrugated sheet piling.

They can be used in numerous applications including seawalls, retaining walls, flood protection and water control. FlatPanel sheets are used in traditional anchored structures and also are utilized as part of SheerScape Retaining Wall Systems. (link to SheerScape Page??) The FP-475 and FP-575 are the latest CMI products to feature XCR Manufacturing Technologies which offer proprietary UV protection, industry leading quality control, textured surfaces and long term color consistency.

Innovative shape properties and the 24" wide profile of the FlatPanel promote efficient and profitable installation. The attractive smooth shape of FlatPanel sheets is not only is aesthetically pleasing but also helps to provide stability and stiffness during the installation process. Utilizing additional wall components such as ShoreGuard ArmorCaps or ArmorWales is simplified as the FlatPanel provides an even, continuous surface to attach these items. Additionally, concrete caps are typically easier to install compared to traditional corrugated sheet piling walls which require extensive and elaborate forms.

Like all ShoreGuard sheet piling, the FP-475 and FP-575 are 100% recyclable and made with over 90% post-industrial recycled materials. All ShoreGuard profiles offer a lower carbon footprint and more corrosion resistance than most traditional materials such as wood and steel.
