TimberGuard is CMI's line of polymer protected wood pilings used in marine applications or as components to ShoreGuard and UltraComposite sheet piling. TimberGuard offers a cost-effective, longer-lasting, safer alternative to treated wood. TimberGuard's innovative polymer protection system is resistant to rot, UV and marine borer damage which are main sources of traditional wood piling failure. TimberGuard requires little maintenance and can provide a longer life cycle than unprotected wood components which reduces the long-term cost of your project. Additionally, TimberGuard is an eco-friendly, sustainable solution that is commonly used in protected bodies of water and environmentally regulated areas.

TimberGuard production is an automated process which ensures consistency and precise quality control. The polymer protection system is applied to the entire piling and is available in multiple color options. The secret to TimberGuard's polymer protection system is that it is seamless, requiring no fasteners. Also, TimberGuard's polymer protection system does not adhere to the wood and allows the piling to expand and contract naturally which is a unique feature that no other product can offer. Other wood protection products that are sprayed on in the field, use fasteners, are manually wrapped or are made using other faulty application methods pose numerous areas of weakness within the outer layer, and can lead to premature failure.
