UltraComposite™ FRP

Reinforced Polymer Products Designed with the Strength of Steel

The UltraComposite Sheet Piling Revolution

Recent developments in our manufacturing technology have allowed CMI to develop Super Heavy Weight UltraComposites as an alternative to some of the most commonly used steel sheet piling. Specifying UltraComposite sheet piling allows engineers to provide innovative, cost-effective solutions for their clients, while optimizing installation efficiency for the contractor. There are many advantages to replacing PZ-22, PZ-27 or AZ-13 steel with UltraComposite sheets:

ISO Certified Manufacturing

Given the complexity of pultruded composite products manufacturing and design, the integrity of the production process is paramount to ensuring the desired results for any project. To profit from the inherent advantages that composites possess and meet demanding design loads, parts must be manufactured to exact specifications. The only means of ensuring this stringent level of consistent quality control is in an ISO certified manufacturing facility. This is substantially different than products made in non-ISO certified facilities, but purported as tested in ISO labs. Laboratory testing cannot verify the variables involved in the pultrusion process, and is only able to test a very small percentage of the product.

Bigger, Better and Cost Effective

Capable of handing loads up to 50,000 ft-lbs/ft, engineers across the country have successfully used UltraCompistes in projects with the US Army Corps of Engineers, US Fish & Wildlife Service, public works departments and other private firms. In addition to providing upfront material cost savings, and freight and installation costs reductions, the corrosion resistance of CMI UltraComposite sheet piling eliminates maintenance costs. Replacing steel sheet piling with CMI UltraComposite sheet piling is possibly the ultimate value-engineered solution.
